Kailey DeLuca joined the Youth Code Jam team in Spring 2020 as our public relations assistant.
Her work, which ranges from writing press releases to working on grant applications to aiding in the development of the YCJ social media strategy (plus whatever else we throw at her like translating our content into Spanish), became invaluable as we pivoted our programming from in-person events to virtual platforms.
Kailey is originally from Houston, but considers San Antonio her home now. She recently graduated from Trinity University with a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology, and will be starting a fellowship with Venture for America later this summer.
On working with YCJ, she says, "I enjoy working with Youth Code Jam because of the staff’s devotion to their mission and their students. I look forward to seeing how inclusive user experience and design will be incorporated into future technologies!"
